Il est notamment reconnu pour avoir mis au point une <span style=\"color:#333399;\"><a style=\"color:#333399;\" title=\"Ampoules, Bulbs, ampoule LED, ampoule incandescence, ampoule fluocompacte\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nedgis.com\/products?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;search%5Btaxon_any%5D%5B%5D=148&amp;search%5Bwith_designers_ids%5D=&amp;search%5Bwith_brands_ids%5D=&amp;search%5Bprice_between%5D=0+-+1000+%E2%82%AC\">ampoule \u00e0 incandescence<\/a><\/span> ayant permis l\u2019essor de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 dans le monde.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9 en 1847 \u00e0 Milan (Ohio), <a title=\"Thomas Edison, inventeur, cr\u00e9ateur de l'ampoule d\u00e9corative \u00e0 incandescence\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nedgis.com\/designers\/thomas-edison\"><span style=\"color:#333399;\">Thomas<\/span>\u00a0<\/a><a style=\"color:#333399;\" title=\"Thomas Edison, inventeur de l'ampoule \u00e0 incandescence\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nedgis.com\/designers\/thomas-edison\">Edison<\/a>\u00a0est renvoy\u00e9 de son \u00e9cole \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 7 ans et est alors \u00e9duqu\u00e9 par sa m\u00e8re, une ancienne institutrice. Autodidacte, il apprend beaucoup par ses nombreuses lectures et devient vendeur de journaux dans un train \u00e0 seulement 12 ans. Il y invente un t\u00e9l\u00e9graphe duplex permettant d\u2019envoyer sur le m\u00eame c\u00e2ble deux d\u00e9p\u00eaches en sens inverse. Puis Edison s\u2019installe \u00e0 New York en 1869 et y invente un t\u00e9l\u00e9graphe multiplex pouvant transmettre et imprimer plusieurs cours boursiers. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette r\u00e9ussite, il cr\u00e9e sa premi\u00e8re entreprise et l\u2019argent r\u00e9colt\u00e9 lui permet de mettre en place un laboratoire de recherche \u00e0 Menlo Park en 1876.<\/p>\n<p>En 1879, <span style=\"color:#333399;\"><a style=\"color:#333399;\" title=\"Thomas Edison, inventeur, cr\u00e9ateur de l'ampoule d\u00e9corative \u00e0 incandescence\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nedgis.com\/designers\/thomas-edison\">Thomas\u00a0<\/a><a style=\"color:#333399;\" title=\"Thomas Edison, inventeur de l'ampoule \u00e0 incandescence\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nedgis.com\/designers\/thomas-edison\">Edison<\/a><\/span>\u00a0d\u00e9cide d\u2019axer ses travaux autour de l\u2019\u00e9clairage en mettant au point une <a title=\"Ampoules - Nedgis\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.nedgis.com\/es\/2014\/07\/20\/perdu-avec-les-ampoules-pas-de-panique\/\"><span style=\"color:#333399;\">ampoule<\/span><\/a> \u00e9lectrique. Alors que les villes se d\u00e9veloppent de plus en plus, l\u2019\u00e9clairage se fait encore au gaz ou \u00e0 la bougie. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs \u00e9checs, il d\u00e9cide d\u2019utiliser sous vide un morceau de bambou du Japon qui se carbonise au contact d\u2019un courant \u00e9lectrique \u00e0 faible tension. Ce morceau de bambou prend donc la forme d\u2019un filament en U, et est reli\u00e9 \u00e0 deux fils conducteurs de platine. Cette politique fait de lui un v\u00e9ritable homme d\u2019affaires, symbole du self-made-man am\u00e9ricain. On estime qu\u2019au cours de sa vie, <span style=\"color:#333399;\"><a style=\"color:#333399;\" title=\"Thomas Edison, inventeur de l'ampoule \u00e0 incandescence\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nedgis.com\/designers\/thomas-edison\">Edison<\/a> <\/span>a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 1093 brevets.
